I have a large collection of this wonderful fine china---dinner plates, salad plates, bread and butter plates, cups and saucers, fruit/dessert bowls, and coupe soup bowls. I also have the round footed vegetable bowl, covered vegetable bowl, relish platter, medium oval platter, 13" round platter, and the fancy, handled gravy boat. The pattern is "Mayfair" by Hutschenreuther, which became a part of Rosenthal in 2000. It is no longer manufactured, so this is your chance to complete your set. All of the pieces are in excellent condition. They appear to have seen very little use.
This particular piece is the CUP & SAUCER. The footed cup is 5 1/4" from edge to handle x 2 1/4" tall. Notice the fancy handle. The saucer is 6 1/4" in diameter. The ground is cream colored. Dresden flower sprays and several buds decorate the pieces. The edge of the cup is scalloped and both pieces are highlighted in gold. The backstamp is shown also. There are 7 sets available. I have 2 cups without saucers ($27.50 each. I had an accident with the others!)
